P.S: Knowledge of java programming language is required..

“You are a field in my class. You will always be protected.”

“Are you an exception? Let me catch you.”

“You are my increment operator. You make my value increase.”

“I think you’re my compiler. My life wouldn’t start without you.”

“You are my initializer: without you, my life would point to nothing (null).”

“I am a BufferedReader. You input meaning into my life.”

“You are my semicolon; always present in everything I do.”

“You are the JDK (Java Development Kit) in my life. I won’t compile without you.”

“If I were a method, you must be my parameter, because I will always need you.”

“Can you be my private variable? I want to be the only one with access to you.”

“We are an aggregation of classes: one cannot exist without the other.”

“public class YourWorld extends MyWorld”

“My love is a for loop without the increment operator— infinitive, non-terminating, and dificult to stop once it starts running.”

“Let me be the ‘throws Exception’ to your ‘public static void main (String[] args)’. I will accept whatever you give me.”

“[me != me]. [me += you].”

“You are my superclass: you define what I can do.”

“You are the IDE of my life: I find it easier because of you.”

“My main method is ‘public love iLoveYou().’ ”

“I am the field attribute in your class: I can’t exist unless you do.”

“My love for you is a constant variable: unupdatable and unchangeable.”

“Are you an applet? You make me feel all GUI (gooey) inside.”

“You are my loop condition. I keep coming back to you.”

“You are my methods. I am nothing without you.”

“Are you my driver? Because you make my life worthwhile.”

“You are my API. I want to know everything about you.”

“Can you be my ActionListener? That way you notice everything that I do.”

“I am a boolean method whose love will always return true.”

“Buti pa ang Strings, nag-mamatch.”

“Buti pa ang data type, may value.”

“Buti pa ang Swing components, may Listeners.”

“String myHeart = “I Love You”;

String[] herWords = myHeart.split(” “);

return null;”

“My love for you comes with no strings attached.”

“Are you a double? The thought of you always floats inside my head.”

“My love for you cannot be measured with an int, not with a long, and not even with an array. It is out of bounds and infinite…. ”

“Di na tayo kailangang i-cast pa; magkatype na tayo, e…”

Another Filipino shows the world that we are not only good and popular in sports(boxing that is) but in humanitarian work as well. If you have seen the news urging us (Filipinos) to vote online for the CNN hero of the Year to the Filipino Efren Peñaflorida Jr for his contributions to the community through a brand of mobile education, or the “pushcart classroom,” for urban poor youth.

Peñaflorida, fondly called “Kuya F,” was named 2009 CNN Hero of the Year. In his acceptance speech, he said: “Each person has a hidden hero within, you just have to look inside you and search it in your heart, and be the hero to the next one in need.” Sophia Dedace file photo “Efren Peñaflorida, who started a ‘pushcart classroom’ in the Philippines to bring education to poor children as an alternative to gang membership, has been named the 2009 CNN Hero of the Year,” the world-renowned Cable News Network said in an article posted on its Web site.

The 28-year-old Peñaflorida will receive $100,000 from CNN. The network’s top anchor Anderson Cooper announced the winner at the conclusion of the annual awards ceremony.

Earlier, Peñaflorida told GMANews.TV that should he win, he would pledge the prize money to the children that his group, the Dynamic Teen Company, is helping.

In his acceptance speech at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, CNN quoted him as saying: “Serve, serve well, serve others above yourself and be happy to serve. As I always tell my co-volunteers… you are the change that you dream as I am the change that I dream and collectively we are the change that this world needs to be.”

The taped event will be aired on November 26, CNN said.

Peñaflorida won over nine other “CNN heroes,” seven of whom were American. One of them, 20-year-old Jordan Thomas, lost both his legs in a boating accident and set up a foundation that provides prosthetics to poor children who have also lost limbs.

News of Peñaflorida’s selection spread briskly among Filipinos through the Internet. One Facebook user, Kristine Fonacier, had recently spent a year as a volunteer in Guyana. “We need all the hope that we can get from our Manny Pacquiaos,” Fonacier wrote. “But here Efren Penaflorida has made a name for himself on the global stage not because he’s enormously successful or fabulously wealthy, but because he’s given his time to ‘helping others.’ It’s such a simple but world-changing idea, and it’s high time we Filipinos get behind it.”

Last October, CNN opened the online voting for its Top 10 Heroes. Peñaflorida said that being included in the top 10 alone was already an honor. Still, he refused to take credit for the recognition. “If the people vote for me, they are actually voting for the poor kids DTC is teaching and the dedicated volunteers behind this work,” he earlier said.

CNN said more than 2.75 million votes were cast during the seven-week online voting. The network, however, did not indicate how many votes Peñaflorida got.

Peñaflorida, who hails from Cavite City in Cavite province Philippines, started the Dynamic Teen Company in 1997.

His group used “Kariton Klassrooms” or mobile pushcarts to reach out and teach underprivileged children [See: A CNN hero started with a pushcart full of hopes].

The DTC has now over 2,000 members teaching basic reading and writing, and even personal hygiene to marginalized children in slum areas in Cavite using pushcarts filled with books, pens, tables and chairs.

From CNN.com:

This is really weird. It’s not that I’m sick or something, it seems that I am losing my path (My purpose). Most of the time, I do things to reach for something or just the thought of getting something done. But there comes a time that I hit a dead end sort of mind set. I don’t know if anyone can relate to this, it’s like something/someone deep within me is asking what am I doing?, or what is it I really want? At first I tend to ignore, I just thought it might be a result of stress at work or just plain lack of sleep. Hmmm… I hope it’s not what they called a ‘middle life crisis’ (I’m not that old). Someone mention that to me but I’m sure that’s not it.

What to do?…(yep, I post it here). I know I really need to talk this stuff to real homosapien. Since many things happen this past weeks. I might have something they call a “burnout”. Since I have little info about it, I searched and explored around the word………..wide web (in short -googled) about it. Well , here’s what I found.

The 7 Signs of Burnout
Are you feeling overcome by the stresses of life? Do you feel like you are about
to burn out? Tired of people, ministry, even life? Do you have a hard time getting
up in the morning? If any of these make you stop and think, you may be well on
your way to feeling burned out. Burnout occurs more often than one might expect
with stress being the main cause. You are not alone though; as many as one in
three Americans feel like they have a lot of stress in their lives.
With stress and burnout such a big problem, what are some of the reasons for
feeling burned out? Well, there could be a number of reasons why you are feeling
depressed, tired and stressed or maybe just one or two. It is important to
identify them, and one way to do that is to look at the signs of burnout and see
if they match up with anything in your life. After that you can try to start
cutting back or avoiding those things that cause burnout in your life. Read the
following to learn what the 7 major burnout signs are and then try to think about
whether they show up in your life.

The 7 major signs of Burnout:
1 Constantly busy with “Important” things that cause you to feel overwhelmed.
This could be due to an inability to say no to things, or simply a difficult and
demanding job.
2 Feeling tired or constantly staying up late at night and not getting enough
sleep. People might tell you that you look tired or you often fall asleep in
meetings or church.
3 Reacting negatively to people or getting angry over little things. This
doesn’t mean just getting angry with close friends and family, it also means you
ignore or respond harshly to people you normally have to work hard at being nice
to.
4 A sense of being spiritually drained or uninterested in the Bible and
church. You might find yourself being distracted at church or simply wondering why
you bother going.
5 Spiritual stagnation, no motivation to grow in your relationship with God.
6 Neglecting personal needs and those of your family. You might feel that you
are already spending all of your energy on ministry or other ‘good’ things and
when you come home you have nothing left and you just want to sit and be left
alone or do whatever you want to do.
7 Work or ministry has become monotonous and you feel no enjoyment in what you
do. This could be from working in the wrong kind of job.
Do you see these signs in your own life? Even small parts of these signs could be
an indicator that you might be getting burned out from your ministry or job. And
when you get burned out, your effectiveness in your job or ministry drops to near
zero.

Now that you know what signs of burnout might be in your life, it’s time to look
into recovering and healing from burnout.
It is important to note that stress at times in some small amounts can be good. It
can help motivate, and encourage you to get things done. But it is easy to go from
a reasonable amount of stress to way too much, stress in your life. It can
sometimes be hard to tell when you have a reasonable amount and when you are
overloaded but if you notice any of the signs, it probably means you have to much
stress in your life.
Burnout on the other hand, is not something you want any amount of in your life.
It is important to realize the difference now so that you can deal with it and
recover as soon as possible.

I am currently cleaning my inbox and emails and I found one of the email forward archives.

Enjoy!

   Two traveling angels

Keep reading to the bottom of the page — don’t
stop at the feet (You’ll see).

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night
in the home of a wealthy family.

The family was rude and refused to let the angels
stay in the mansion’s guest room.

Instead the angels were given a small space in
the cold basement.

As they made their bed on the hard floor, the
older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel
replied,

“Things aren’t always what they seem.”

The next night the pair came to rest at the house
of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his
wife.

After sharing what little food they had the couple
let the angels sleep in their bed where they could
have a good night’s rest.

When the sun came up the next morning the angels
found the farmer and his wife in tears.

Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole
income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the
older angel how could you have let this happen?

The first man had everything, yet you helped him,
she accused.

The second family had little but was willing to
share everything, and you let the cow die.

“Things aren’t always what they seem,” the older
angel replied.

“When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I
noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the
wall.

Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and
unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the
wall so he wouldn’t find it.”

“Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed,
the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him
the cow instead.

Things aren’t always what they seem.”

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things
don’t turn out the way they should. If you have
faith, you just need to trust that every out come
is always to your advantage. You just might not
know it until some time later…
Oooo
Some people ( )
come into our lives ) /
and quickly go.. (_ /

               oooO
( ) Some people
\ ( become friends
\_ ) and stay awhile…

     leaving beautiful Oooo
footprints on our ( )
hearts… ) /
( _/

                      oooO
( ) and we are
\ ( never
\_ ) quite the same
because we have
made a good
friend!!

     Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow a mystery.
Today is a gift.
That’s why it’s called the present!

I think this is special..live and savor every
moment… This is not a dress rehearsal!

               (\ /)
( \ __ / )
( \()/ )
( / \ ) TAKE THIS LITTLE ANGEL
( / \/ \ ) AND KEEP HER CLOSE TO YOU
/ \ SHE IS YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL
( ) SENT TO WATCH OVER YOU
____

THIS IS A SPECIAL GUARDIAN ANGEL…. YOU MUST
PASS THIS ON TO 5 PEOPLE WITHIN THE HOUR OF
RECEIVING HER, AFTER YOU DO MAKE A WISH….
IF YOU HAVE PASSED HER ON, YOUR WISH WILL
BE GRANTED AND SHE WILL WATCH OVER YOU FOREVER….
IF NOT, HER TEARS WILL FLOW AND NO WISHES
WILL BE GRANTED….

Now don’t delete this message, because it comes

     from a very special angel.

              Right Now -

     -somebody is thinking of you.
-somebody is caring about you.
-somebody misses you
-somebody wants to talk to you.
-somebody wants to be with you.
-somebody hopes you aren’t in trouble.
-somebody is thankful for the support you have provided.
-somebody wants to hold your hand.
-somebody hopes everything turns out all right.
-somebody wants you to be happy.
-somebody wants you to find him/her.
-somebody is celebrating your successes.
-somebody wants to give you a gift.
-somebody thinks that you ARE a gift.
-somebody loves you.
-somebody admires your strength.
-somebody is thinking of you and smiling.
-somebody wants to be your shoulder to cry on.

This is a masterpiece. If you have not read it, take the time to read it now. If you have read it, take time to read it again! It speaks a lot about truths in life and what’s happening now.

GEORGE CARLIN (His wife recently died….and George followed her, dying July 2008)

Isn’t it amazing that George Carlin – comedian of the 70′s and 80′s – could write something so very eloquent…and so very appropriate.

A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less.. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We’ve done larger things, but not better things.

We’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We’ve conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete…

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn’t cost a cent.

Remember, to say, ‘I love you’ to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

LIFEBOOK 2009

Health:

1. Drink plenty of water
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants, and eat less food that is manufactured in plants
4. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy
5. Make time for prayer
6. Play more games
7. Read more books than you did in 2008
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day
9. Sleep for 7 hours
10. Take a 10-30 minutes walk every day —- and while you walk, smile

Personality:

11. Don’t compare your life to others’. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don’t have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13. Don’t over do ; keep your limits
14. Don’t take yourself so seriously ; no one else does
15. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip
16. Dream more while you are awake
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
18. Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don’t hate others.
20. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23. Smile and laugh more
24. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Community:

25. Call your family often
26. Each day give something good to others
27. Forgive everyone for everything
28. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6
29. Try to make at least three people smile each day
30. What other people think of you is none of your business
31. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:

32. Do the right things
33. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful
34. GOD heals everything
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up
37. The best is yet to come
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it
39. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.
