To all wordpress users out there, if you have noticed in your WordPress dashboard, you can see the option to upgrade to the latest wordpress version 2.9.2. Before you upgrade , this is the vulnerabilities from the previous version from 2.9.x up from the official site

Thomas Mackenzie alerted us to a problem where logged in users can peek at trashed posts belonging to other authors. If you have untrusted users signed up on your blog and sensitive posts in the trash, you should upgrade to 2.9.2.

If your WordPress blog have many users, all of them including those with subscriber roles, can have access to all deleted articles that have been moved to the trash. So anyone in your user account can read your trash post or data.

It is not really good if you have more than one authors/users especially if you don’t know that particular someone, he/she might be able to see you trashed posts which already contains your draft (for example.. passwords, pin accounts, personal (too personal) blog topics which you decide not to post, etc.

But that is rarely seen to personal bloggers which has more than one author (right?), might as well stay with the current version and upgrade for the next version.

Found this on the net… peace to all the bloggers out there(that includes me)..=)

You know you’re addicted to blog when you exhibit any or all of the following symptoms:

You never leave home without your camphone/digicam

You practice your best smile in the mirror because your blog has your face all over it, with your sweetheart in it

you think blogging has become the perfect cure for your insomnia

You think ”Blog!” before going to sleep and upon waking up

Yes! You do it even in the office

Five of your friends have not been talking to you because of the unpleasant things you wrote about them in your blog

while three pals idolize you for having a techno-geek, oh-my-gawd-you-can-actually-compose-those-paragraphs image

You never fail to tell your friends/ relatives to check out your site in school/family reunions.

You have a business card with your blog addy in it

you’re now even thinking of owning a shirt inscribed with “Certified Blogger”

when you go to an exciting place/experience something new, you immediately think about how you’re going to blog about it

….while the manager of the restaurant is giving you that strange look

you’ve actually stood up dates and appointments with your friends to spend more time on the computer

most of the new friends you made in the past few months are not from your workplace, school

you check your stats counter every so often, complete with a look up on the domain/IP address of the visitor

you think that Google Adsense can become your primary employer (well of course, dream on)

you forget to shower, comb even sleep

you’ve actually typed “how to cure blog addiction” or “Signs to blog addiction” on Yahoo and google search to post it in your blog

Ask for link exchange

Do more blogwalking than actual walking(exercise)

Valuable Life-Lessons for Bloggers:Practice Etiquette and Self-Restraint. Think twice before hitting ‘Publish’ Button. Realize that you have another life, probably a life more important, than blogging

You Know You’re Getting To Be a Blog Stalker When…

when you have a blogger-friend, you never call or message her anymore. You just read her blog and ping in her/his tagboard

when you do call or message your blogger-friend, you inject your conversations with “well, I read in your blog that…”

you never know the blogger from Eve, and yet you already know the name of her pet dog and what her fave restaurants are

you email the blogger when she hasn’t posted for a week

you check the site every 10 or so minutes as a form of reflex reaction especially when there is a comment with her/his url in it.

you think you already know most parts of a blogger’s life from what you read in her site (not true at all!) or just a mere review from an advertiser

you click one of his/her ads thinking that it is still related/directed to her topic /post.

Valuable Life-Lessons for Stalkers: Bloggers need TLC too, traffic, pagerank etc . Make your presence felt and don’t just read our sites. If you know him/her personally and care for him/here… tell him/her that it is still not too late to enjoy life, take him/her somewhere far from an internet connection.

First of all, I am not affiliated with any political official nor any political parties. If I am not mistaken , this is my first post about politics especially here in our country(Philippines). I just can’t help but post this one for the seemingly popularity of the campaign I’ve ever seen. Some find it irritating or just plain for shows , some says its good (?? easy to remember i guess for the melody), I even heard people singing the song ,young or old(weird really) in the streets, offices, malls , etc.

Some even search for the web for the video and mp3 downloads , maybe thats why you are sent to this page and still continue reading it.

So here it is the video and lyrics(below) of the Manny Villar’s Campaign song..

P.S : This is not a campaign nor an endorsement..

Naging Mahirap

At kanyang plano’y magka-bahay tayo?

Si Villar ang tunay na mahirap.
si Villar ang tunay na may malasakit.
Si Villar ang may kakayahan
At gumawa ng sariling pangalan.

Si Manny Villar ang magtatapos
ng ating kahirapan.

It has been a very challenging year for many of us and since the year will almost end to begin a new one, let us check again our goals and plans and one of them (a popular one) is a New Years Resolution. Well, it doesn’t matter if we can really do all the listings we’ve made that’s why I am posting some funny New Years Resolutions.

P.S(seriously): These are not mine (found in the web) ..ejoy and Happy New Year to everyone =)

    * Just for today, I will not sit in my living room all day in my nightdress. Instead, I will move my computer into the bedroom.

    * I will no longer waste my time relieving the past, instead I will spend it worrying about the future.

    * I will not bore my boss by with the same excuse for taking leaves. I will think of some more excuses.

    * I will do less laundry and use more deodorant.

    * I will avoid taking a bath whenever possible and conserve more water.

    * Assure my lawyer that I will never again show up drunk at a custody hearing.

    * I will give up chocolates totally. 100%. Completely. Honestly….

    * I will try to figure out why I *really* need nine e-mail addresses.

    * I will stop sending e-mails to my wife (husband).

    * I resolve to work with neglected children — my own.

    * I will stop sending e-mail, ICQ, Instant Messages and be on the phone at the same time with the same person.

    * I will spend less than one hour a day on the Internet. This, of course, will be hard to estimate since I’m not a clock watcher.

    * I will read the manual… just as soon as I can find it.

    * I will think of a password other than “password.”

    * I will not tell the same story at every get together.

    * I won’t worry so much.

    * I will cut my hair.

    * I will grow my hair.

    * I will stop considering other people’s feelings when they so obviously don’t consider mine – if that unwashed fellow sits next to me again, I’ll tell him he stinks!

    * I will be more imaginative.

    * I will not hang around girls – they think you love them and that sucks.

    * I will not ring the stewardess button on airplanes just to get her phone number.

Resolutions You Would be Tempted to Keep…
For those who are scared of making resolutions here are some resolutions they would actually be tempted to keep!!

    * Spend more time watching TV / movies.
* Chat more over phone / Internet.
* Read less.
* I want to gain weight. Put on at least 30 pounds.
* Stop exercising. Waste of time.
* Procrastinate more.
* Drink. Drink some more.
* Start being superstitious.
* Spend more less time at work.
* Stop bringing lunch from home: I should eat out more.
* Take up a new habit: Maybe smoking!

I am currently cleaning my inbox and emails and I found one of the email forward archives.

Enjoy!

   Two traveling angels

Keep reading to the bottom of the page — don’t
stop at the feet (You’ll see).

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night
in the home of a wealthy family.

The family was rude and refused to let the angels
stay in the mansion’s guest room.

Instead the angels were given a small space in
the cold basement.

As they made their bed on the hard floor, the
older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel
replied,

“Things aren’t always what they seem.”

The next night the pair came to rest at the house
of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his
wife.

After sharing what little food they had the couple
let the angels sleep in their bed where they could
have a good night’s rest.

When the sun came up the next morning the angels
found the farmer and his wife in tears.

Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole
income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the
older angel how could you have let this happen?

The first man had everything, yet you helped him,
she accused.

The second family had little but was willing to
share everything, and you let the cow die.

“Things aren’t always what they seem,” the older
angel replied.

“When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I
noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the
wall.

Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and
unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the
wall so he wouldn’t find it.”

“Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed,
the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him
the cow instead.

Things aren’t always what they seem.”

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things
don’t turn out the way they should. If you have
faith, you just need to trust that every out come
is always to your advantage. You just might not
know it until some time later…
Oooo
Some people ( )
come into our lives ) /
and quickly go..
               oooO
( ) Some people
\ ( become friends
\_ ) and stay awhile…

     Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow a mystery.
Today is a gift.
That’s why it’s called the present!

Contrary to what most people think, an introvert is not simply a person who is shy. In fact, being shy has little to do with being an introvert! Shyness has an element of apprehension, nervousness and anxiety, and while an introvert may also be shy, introversion itself is not shyness. Basically, an introvert is a person who is energized by being alone and whose energy is drained by being around other people.

Introverts are more concerned with the inner world of the mind. They enjoy thinking, exploring their thoughts and feelings. They often avoid social situations because being around people drains their energy. This is true even if they have good social skills. After being with people for any length of time, such as at a party, they need time alone to “recharge.”

When introverts want to be alone, it is not, by itself, a sign of depression. It means that they either need to regain their energy from being around people or that they simply want the time to be with their own thoughts. Being with people, even people they like and are comfortable with, can prevent them from their desire to be quietly introspective.

Being introspective, though, does not mean that an introvert never has conversations. However, those conversations are generally about ideas and concepts, not about what they consider the trivial matters of social small talk.

Introverts make up about 60% of the gifted population (ahemm) but only about 25-40% of the general population (so dont worry , extroverts still rules)..

I like to be alone. It may sound weird but true. In our present culture, being alone is a sign of loneliness, depression or an outcast, but this isn’t fair . Spending time alone can be good in terms of reflecting yourself or making decisions (especially personal and important ones). Though it is true that life is about meeting people along the way and the people that touch our lives, it is imperative to say that “no man is an island”.

Spending time with yourself can be with different forms like, watching tv, playing video games, read book , etc.

I have read about an article about the positive side of spending time alone.

“Being alone isn’t a statement about your relationships. Although I believe that relationships with others are a very important aspect to life and to our happiness, spending time alone is also extremely beneficial to our mental health and happiness. Here is why:

   1. Self Discovery: Spending time alone gives you the ability to discover things about yourself and to get a real understanding of who you are. We have grown to appreciate the art of getting to know others, but in reality, it is even more important to get to know ourselves, our preferences, our likes and dislikes without other people’s influences.
2. Higher Sense of Independence and Increased Self-Esteem: Being alone and getting comfortable with being alone gives you a higher sense of independence. Relying on yourself to make choices and decisions increases your self confidence, which then permeates other aspects of your life, including the times you are in the presence of others.
3. No Need to Compromise: Often, we compromise when we are in the presence of others. We usually work with one another to reach agreement on everything, from what we will have for dinner to what TV show to watch. Spending time alone allows you to indulge yourself with the things you want to do and the things you love, without any negotiation.
4. Rejuvenation for Your Soul: Getting away from others allows you to decompress and relax. It gives you a break from the have tos and allows you to focus on the want tos. It lets you address your own needs as opposed to everyone elses and gives you the opportunity to rejuvenate and push the ‘restart’ button.
5. A Fresh Perspective: Time alone gives you the opportunity to clear your mind and to weed through a lot of thoughts. This allows you to get to the heart of what YOU really think as opposed to being told or influenced by others and their opinions. It gives you time to reflect on what is important in your life and how you feel about every day situations that need to be addressed.
6. Higher Appreciation for Those You Love: Giving yourself the ability to be alone allows you to have a greater appreciation for the time you spend with others. If you never have time for yourself, you’ll wish you did. It is important to find some balance in this; but once you do, you’ll enjoy your relationships even more.

For some, being alone isn’t really that simple (based on personal side). Actually it is not for everyone though especially for extrovert persons, but spending enough time alone may only be the time where you can truly live and discover other prospective in life.
