Best Milk Tea in Town

I have seen a lot of coffee shops sprouting like mushrooms here in Cebu, probably the fast lifestyle in our society  wherein people just want to have a quick refreshing drink that led to the popularity of coffee shops. Since many are inclined to coffee especially when you want to have a quiet time for yourself and just indulge every sip from you cup coffee or meetup meet friends and just chat about every story and any topic they bring. The ambiance of a coffee shop is really important where you could just escape the outside world with all the work from the office, traffic, noise, etc and have a serene moment with your self and enjoy that moment.

There is a new Coffee Shop in town, the Tea and Symphony, located in Banilad(G/F UC building across Gaisano Country Mall). A good location with enough parking space for everyone just in front of the coffee shop[. You cannot missed it as you passed by through the Gov. Cuenco Avenue road (you can see the Banilad UC building). The place is your very typical coffee shop with a large space, comfortable seats, minimalistic theme with few picture frames and figurines. The place is quite comfortable really with a nice set variety in their menu and drinks. Most of all (the important thing to us bloggers and other online junkies) is that they have free WiFi (provided that you order something. :)

Taiwanese Street Food Snack - Fish with wasabe flavor

I managed to took a sip into their best seller specialty drink , the “Tea & Symphony” milk tea, the sweetness level I have chosen is mild which contains only very few sugar/sweets. On top of that is topping which blends properly with the flavor. Also tasted their snacks or their Taiwanese street Foods like chicken and fish with Wasabi and salt n’ pepper flavors respectively. I really like the fish snack with wasabi flavor which complements the milk tea. The great thing about their product is that you can choose the sweetness level for any drinks you choose, from 25% mild to half 50% to 75% less and 100% for normal sweetness, which is really good especially for those who are health conscious and wants to control their sugar intake.

Overall it was a good tea-experience and really a health-tea option for those who want to get more out of their freshly brewed tea experience. I recommend this to everyone who wants to have a refreshing and healthy drink at the same time.

Drink Moderately

I have been to numerous product launching (I even lost the count already :D ).This is the first time that I have been invited to Rhum launching event, so it is kinda exciting for me as a blogger. Since this is a beverage product, I make sure that my body is at its best because I know there will be wine tasting ,food and drinks all around the place :D , and since I am not a minor anymore and at my legal drinking age XD (I only drink occasionally :P ), I know this will be a very fun event indeed.

The event took place in Alchology along Mango Avenue in Cebu City, at first I didn’t know where that is even in my very long time stay here in Cebu, lol . Anyways I just ask some vendors along there and to my surprise, it was just the one along the road, which was mall before (not anymore updated). So here I was surprised again in the registration in the Alchology Club, I was the first guest to  arrived in the event (it is my first time to be first to arrived in a particular event).

With the Cebu Bloggers Society Inc. Guys

It is also the first time that I have been to Alchology so it is the really new experience for me, the place looks cozy for a bar , with all the setup and lightings. The program started with the food and of course the Captain Morgan Spiced Rhum Tasting. If you wonder what is a spiced rhum, here is a short description.

Sugar cane was used to make alcoholic drinks in Egyptian times but it was not until the 16th century that farmers and workers on Caribbean sugar cane plantations took up this ancient tradition. They took molasses, the dark, sticky by-product of the sugar making process and distilled it into a harsh, strong spirit. Rum in the raw. As plantations spread, so did the tradition of making rum.

Captain Morgan with his crew :)

We tasted it first without the mixed of Cola (it was supposed to mix cola first), the taste is somehow sweet and not really that strong (at first). While in the tasting mode, lol. We were a little interrupted when the Captain Morgan himself enter the scene with his presence the people just excited to see the treasure chest box in which inside contains Captain Morgan items to be given away be his new shipmates (metaphor) and each was given a key to personally open the treasure test box. To continue the Captain Morgan Spice Rhum review, the taste is really good especially when we were serve with the Cola mixture which is the best mixes I have ever tried in a rhum (PS: I am not drunk here and have no plans to :P ). So combined with the music and the people, the party goes and everyone just had a good time.

It is one of the most fun event I have been into so far, we had a great time overall. Just a reminder again for everyone to “Drink Moderately and Responsibly”

About Captain Morgan:

In 1654 a young Henry Morgan left his native Wales for the West Indies. He never looked back. A born leader, he quickly made Captain and became famous as a legal pirate or Buccaneer, defending British interests and generally rocking the Caribbean.
His awesome exploits on the high seas earned him a knighthood and by 1680 Sir Henry Morgan was a plantation owner and Governor of Jamaica. There he lived out his final days until his death in 1688.
