The Musical is the stage adaptation of the Nerissa Cabral classic, which was originally a comics series, and then made into the famous 1985 movie. Tan, along with RWM president Kingson Sian, pushed for the all-Filipino adaptation to rekindle the memories for the fans as well as to touch the interest of the younger generation.
Tan hopes to continue strengthening the world of Filipino Performing Arts by providing the country with world-class facilities like the NPAT and supporting more all-Filipino productions in the future.
