Since I already made up my mind on having my own webhost and a website, having my own domain name is also very essential. I did inquire online about my domain name (eg. mydomain.com). Only to find out that it is already taken. I have searched about it and they say that the domain will expire this month, I hope I can get that domain name to start my plans. But I know it’s not easy as the owner of that particular domain name is a domain broker, which means that it is privately owned by a company to uses domain names as a business of buy and sell.
Knowing all of these my chance of getting the domain name is slim and if ever I will still pursue of acquiring it, I will be bidding for the domain name in the auction which costs a lot bigger than ordering an ordinary domain. Internet sources say that it will take a 75 days after the the start of the expiration date before it will be available to the open market which is really not good for me. Anyways, there are a lot of domain names out there to think about, just crossing my fingers right now and wish the domain owner will not renew anymore the domain I wanted.
