This morning I’ve receive a text that there will be an Earthquake that will hit the Philippines tomorrow July 18, 2008. As usuall I am skeptical about the text (as if I’ve received enough pranks). I was intrigued because some of my friends told me the same thing and somehow they are certain that there will be an earthquake!.

I research the internet about it and found out that it is circulated through emails, A Brazilian psychic Jucelino Nóbrega da Luz has allegedly predicted that there will be a magnitude 8.1 earthquake (closely similar to China) will occur that will cause destruction and countless deaths.

“According to the e-mails being circulated, this psychic purportedly predicted, among others, Princess Diana’s death. His alleged prophesy has been posted and reposted in various blogs, inviting discussions about its authenticity.”-source(ABS-CBN)

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) did not believe the prediction and everyone warned not to believe immediately in this kind of predictions.

For me its just another person out there trying to have publicity and popularity, better not believe them immediately, rather, being prepared is not bad and the important is to pray for safety and protection and always trust HIS will for us.

Originality is the keyword here, any topic you choose can be a topic of another blog, but the different thing here is creativity, it takes a single blogger to write his OWN opinion or ideas and It is rarely duplicated by anyone. I have seen blogs that are copied from other blogs as in word per word. It is okay to rephrase a certain topic or article but then you must add your own opinion or something to make it more active.

The great thing is that everyone and I mean anyone can comment or respond to your post (except when you change settings). But the purpose here is to show the world or internet world that you exist and there is always a story to tell and other opinions to that topic.

Who cares if the feedbacks/comments are bad and spam, some might send harsh or dirty words. It is all part of blog game. Credibiliy here is important . The originality or genuinity of a topic can establish you as a true blogger and can go far far away in the blogging realm.

My blog quote for the day. “Originality is next to blogliness”-jerminix

Being online is very important to me this days as it is not only part of my work but rather a way of connection to my friends, classmates, cousins, fellow bloggers,n relatives and everyone I knew.

Of course, how the internet perform is very important, believe it or not, I am posting this blog right now using a Dial-up connection. I have this Dial-connection for more than five years, I didnt bother getting a DSL or Broadband Connection, It just that I get used to it.(at least I can still post to blogger), but I have been thinking in getting an DSL or Broadband. I dont know if it is worth it. I’m not fond of downloading videos or music, I only check my emails, blogs, and chat a bit. I dont really see it an urgency to have a very fast connection.

Come to think of it, this connection saved me lot of trouble especially in my student years (that wasn’t a long time ago you know). If it hadn’t for this connection, I wouldn’t have graduated in my computer course,right?…(“silence”),hmmm..okay, some might not agree with me…I know someday I’ve got to move on and transfer to more civilized way of connecting online (Im not that primitive looking you know..haha). I really would like to type/post more but my dial-up prepaid account is almost out, (damn limited internet). Anywayz, thats all for today, little quote for you. :-)

“Just be thankful of your internet connection even sometimes it stinks because there are people (like yours truly) who have slower internet connections than you” Bow
